Twin Mummies!

Megsies and her friend Alex went to the Halloween party last night as mummies! We ripped and wrapped and tied and draped. Then they added some scarey scars and shading and slid their way along into the dance/party. Megsies received "scariest costume" award and some funky fake teeth for her prize!

Scott

An on-call weekend is ensuing for my better half but he plans to take his sister Kathy, who is visiting from Utah, to her first sushi dinner (Blue Nami) along with Jon while Megs and I are in Fresno. Kathy liked In and Out today for lunch--a California tradition-- and Christmas shopping (she starts in January) and has inspired me to begin!

Jon's College Days

Jon has started into his pre graphic design classes at Sacramento State University. He commutes into town every day before I finish my 6:30am power walk. His campus is a shaded tree filled oasis of higher learning. He is managing nicely so far and seems to be flowing along with it. He has cut back on his hours at work and making school more of a full time commitment. I hope I can grab some photos to add between his comings and goings!

Blue eyed boy loves Salt Lake City

Matt has been loving his new home town. It's actually his origin since he was born right there while Scott was in the last few months of medical school at the University of Utah where Matt also attends studying ecomonics. He has taken quite a few interesting photos which I am hoping to add once I figure it out!

Coming Soon...Adventures of Tennis Girl!

Call me crazy but I leave tomorrow at 3:30 for a 2 day tennis tournament with Megan's team. 13 high school girls, hotel rooms, one coach, one coach's husband and one team mom (me) with 2 days of matches, two venues in hot weather will make for quite an adventure. Updates and photos will be added Sunday.

Our sweet newly marrieds had a relaxing honeymoon and we were excited to meet them here at our home on their big loop from Salt Lake City down south through St. George, Las Vegas, Newport Beach, Santa Barbara and up north to us for an open house.

We loved showing off our darling new daughter-in-law, our handsome son the husband and their inspiring story video Linds put together and the video of their amazing and perfect wedding day experience!

We thought it would be important to give the California friends a chance to greet and congratulate. It was a beautiful California summer evening and a more relaxing and casual event. Many friends and family were willing to help us give the evening a personal touch and it was all so wonderful and we feel so supported and grateful.

We had nice conversation, eats, plenty of cool drinks and seating, beautiful flowers, candlelight, a beautiful view, and then the guests who stayed and visited--it was great! Ice cream with strawberries and the candy bar favors topped it off.

My sister Stephanie flew out from her home in Alexandria, VA and her son Chase had been spending time with us in Park City and then here so he was in Cali to greet her! Beth and Mike Peterson, Taylor's new mom-in-law and dad-in-law and Lindsay's brother Rob made arrangements to fly here from Boise and we loved it.

It is so joyful to see the love in their eyes and expressions and the warmth of their commitment to love each other eternally. It was great to share their story and experience and show our happiness.

Draper Reception

After the wedding, we had lots of fun at Lindsay's Aunt Ronna's for a reception.
